My grandfather's fez
The story of Grandfather's Fez is a valuable tale for children, offering important lessons about courage, perseverance, willpower, and the importance of family and heritage. The protagonist, Sand, demonstrates great bravery in facing the challenges that come his way, whether it's trying to retrieve his grandfather's fez or confronting his mischievous classmates. The story also reinforces the deep respect and love Sand has for his grandfather and his heritage, reflecting the importance of family ties and preserving traditions and memories. When Sand finds his grandfather's old fez, he decides to wear it to school and tell his classmates about it. However, on the way, his two mischievous classmates intercept him, snatch the fez from his head, and throw it high into the air, where it becomes entangled in the branches of a tree. Sand tries to climb the tree again and again, and when he finally succeeds, he is surprised to find a bird and her chicks inside the fez. He leaves them and continues on his way. The sparrow and her chicks fly from the nest, but unfortunately, a strong storm blows the fez away. So it begins its journey from place to place, being used in many different ways, until it reaches the same sparrow and her chicks, who then return it to its owner. Finally, the owner takes it to school and tells his classmates about it.
